Knife Sharpening Steps
-
Step 1
Apply green wax evenly to the coarse leather surface (the mesh number of the knife plate is about 5000-8000);
-
Step 2
As shown in the figure, you can start sharpening the knife after applying green wax (correct sharpening should be done in one direction);
-
Step 3
Starting from the coarse leather surface, slightly raise the blade angle by 1-3°, and grind the knife upward along the blade;
-
Step 4
Grind the other side of the blade downward, synchronized with step 3, one back and forth is one group, about 20 groups (the sharpening intensity can be adjusted according to the hardness of the knife steel);
-
Step 5
Finally, perform the finishing work of sharpening the knife on the fine leather surface, and grind the blade side upward;
-
Step 6
Grind the reverse side of the blade downward, synchronized with step 5, one back and forth is one group, and 20 groups can complete the entire operation process.
